This course covers how computer technology, and in particular data communications networks, are affecting commercial transactions today and what the future holds. The United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary has identified electronic commerce as one of its priorities in the 106th Congress.

There is no textbook for the class, but you should have a subscription to the Wall Street Journal and particularly its interactive edition. There will be a number of assignments that will provide hands-on experience with electronic commerce. Grading will be based on presentations and a written report.
